Several times over the years I've seen people post a terrific graphic that shows historical stock market performance with arrows indicating all the world events that could have/did trigger people to dump stocks. Anyone have a link for it? I need it to talk someone down who is panicking over the idea of negative long term returns.

The only reason I have to sell stocks is if I need to convert them into dollars for other use or to correct my asset allocation.
And now that I re-read I see this was not at all what you wanted. Sorry about that :D

A more recent chart.

There was a similar chart, but instead of scary world events, it had scary headlines (e.g. "Dump your stocks now!", "The smart money is moving to cash", etc)
Does anyone have a link to that one?
