I want to see an estimate of how much our take home pay will be, based on our current income and state we live in, after contributing to a 401k/IRA/HSA. Anyone know where I can find a calculator like that? I've been Binging and Googling like crazy but all I can find are calculators that show how 401k contributions impact take home pay. I want a calculator that's all inclusive.

Update: kpd905 linked this: http://www.paycheckcity.com/calculator/salary/ Which is exactly what I was looking for and is way legit.

I've looked for the same thing to no avail. I always end up doing it by hand.

If you really want to use a calculator, why don't you pretend all your contributions are 401k? If they're all pre-tax, there's no real need to clarify whether it's HSA or health insurance, or whatever.

Because the HSA are pre-FICA too.

Technically HSA contributions are different than 401k. With HSA it's even pre-FICA. No taxes, period. You still pay FICA on 401k contributions.

That's why I want a comprehensive calculator. Something that will take care of the math for me. I'm one of the two people on these forums who majored in a social science, not a STEM :)

This should work: http://www.paycheckcity.com/calculator/salary/

You can put separate deductions and check the box for whether they are exempt from Federal tax, State tax, and FICA.

So put the HSA separate from the 401k and IRA.

Paycheckcity is very, very close as long as your input is correct. Best out there. I use it all the time.

+1 more for paycheck city.

When it has not actually matched my wife's actual paycheck exactly, it has always been an input error on my part.
