Hello! I'm pretty dialed down to getting a 2012ish Chevy volt. Here in SLC, UT; there are 2 private party ($7700 with 135k miles; $9250 with 100k), and a couple dealerships ($8200 for 122k; $8995 for 97k).... So $8-$9k... But then I noticed on carguros app that they sell for $6-7k in other states!
Below is an example of one selling for $7k (2013 premium 107k miles) in Orlando Florida.
Obviously shipping that to Utah is expensive. I did get some quotes from San Francisco to SLC and received a $495 offer to ship a car.
It seems I can potentially save ~$2k by finding a deal (preferably in a nearby state; most likely Cali); then booking a 1 way ticket to that place to drive it home.I supposed 20 hours of flying/driving would be worth $2k ($100 an hour?).
My other idea is buying a car via online auction.

This idea is a bit crazier... But could get me to score one for cheap!

Thoughts?
