Was't sure if any fellow mustachians would be able to help out with this one. My internet-fu is currently failing me in locating information I need. I am trying to find data on the Bureau of Labor Statistics relating to Electricity costs in the New York Area. I was able to find data relating to the trailing 12 months's prices on the BLS website (http://www.bls.gov/ro2/avgengny.htm - see chart at the bottom of the page under Electricity per kWh). but could not find monthly data that included all of 2012.
Does anyone with a little more familiarity with the BLS website know where I might be able to locate similar data going back through 2012? The only items I have been able to find so far that included electricity going back through 2012 have been price indices that include more than electricity.
I am open to the use of other data sources that could be considered reputable sources for such information.
Disclaimer: My apologies if this isn't the appropriate place to ask this question or if such requests aren't kosher. I took a look at the forum rules and didn't see any prohibitions relating to such requests therein. If my post needs to be moved or deleted, I am more than willing to do so.

Not monthly data, but FRED (St. Louis Federal Reserve's data-analysis tool) has every-6-month data going back a couple decades.

What do you need the data for, if I can ask?

The U.S. energy information agency is what I use when I need various types of energy use and price data.

huadpe - thanks for the recommendation! I had not stumbled accross that yet and will keep that handy. The data is being used for work purposes - unfortuntely, im not comfortable saying much more than that . Sorry!
LauraG - thanks as well for the recommendation - I checked out the EIA, but wasn't quite able to find the data in the format I was looking for.

You can also call or email the BLS directly. There are regional offices throughout the country to help data users.

Post back if you find it, I'm rarely able to find the data in the format I'm looking for and am curious about this as well.

starbuck - that is awesome and I saved the BLS contact information for future reference. Thanks!!
anastrophe - unfortunately I was not able to find it in the format I desired in a timely enough fashion and my team was forced to do the task at hand through a much more tedious process. Sorry :(
