Best way to sell a 4-piece bedroom furniture set
« on: April 24, 2018, 04:02:15 PM »
Hi there!

We have a baby on the way and need to get rid of a dark cherry, matching set sleigh bed, tall dresser, and two nightstands.

We live in a smaller town, so I'm not sure this will fly on craigslist.

Ideally there will be some consignment company or used furniture company that will magically whisk it away - has anyone done this before? I'm not sure what I'm looking for exactly.

Any help appreciated!!!

What percentage of retail do you expect to get? How old is the set, meaning is it still fashionable?

I would put it on the lawn with a sign that says $100. At least it's out of your house.

Are you on your local NextDoor.com? In my area, lots of furniture gets bought/sold that way.

I would list it on Facebook, $100 for the bed, $100 for the dresser, $25 each for the nightstands, $200 for all.

See if you get any takers.

We gave away all our furniture on Buy Nothing project.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
