Title: Best headphones?
Post by: lifejoy on January 17, 2016, 08:00:40 PM
I know there was a good thread on the best budget headphones... But I can't find it. Could someone link me, or possibly just help me? I see a ton of options on Amazon from $20-100, but I have no clue how to narrow it down. I love listening to electronic dance music, and want headphones that go over my ears. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've found that The Wirecutter is always a good place to start for just about everything, and they generally provide some reasonably-priced options in addition to the much more expensive ones:

I like stuff from professional audio companies like Shure and Sennheiser. Sennheiser in particular makes a great pair of $25 headphones (HD 202 II (http://amzn.com/B003LPTAYI)).

I'm a big fan of monoprice's famous headphones (http://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=108&cp_id=10823&cs_id=1082302&p_id=8323&seq=1&format=2).  They're on sale for $17 right now (normally $25 or so).  Detachable cord (an absolute must with kids), decent sound (I'm no audiophile, but they're good), comfortable, good sound isolation, and very inexpensive.
