Internet and cell phone for full-time RV-ers

DW and I will be moving into the RV and taking off in the next few months.  We currently have Republic Wireless, but DW's phone just died, and we will need something else for internet soon.  Any suggestions?  So far it looks like Verizon is the most popular choice for cell phones and internet for full-timers.  Just nervous about starting a new contract.

I don't think Verizon does contracts anymore. They just break the price of your cell phone into monthly chunks on your plan - if you bring your own phone or pay for it outright, there shouldn't be a contract, last time I checked.
