Hi! I found what looks like a great option for a mini family reunion near my dad's place. It's on Airbnb, which I have never used. Any red flags I should know about before I let it charge my credit card for $450?

AirBnB itself is legit. You shouldn't hesitate to give them your CC.
As far as the rental itself, check the reviews.
-
Reviews are all good - ***** - and it has a flexible cancellation policy - up to 24 hours ahead of check-in.
Thanks, Cathy and ARS!

If you haven't booked yet, you can use this link for $25 off your booking!
Full disclosure, I get $25 once you book and complete the stay. Hope it helps!

Aww, too late, kwaz29! So sorry! :(

I vouch for airbnb as a site. I can't say anything about that particular rental.

Thanks, mwulff! The host has been great about communicating, and the charge went through (I checked my Visa account afterward). Now we'll just hope the place suits us as well as it looks like it will!

I have used air bnb on two occasions and it has been smooth and stress free both times. As others have said, pay attention to the reviews and the cancellation policy and you should be ok.

if the host says the site should show lower rates for the period I requested and she doesn't know how to set up to the lower summer rates, made me think is a glitch...so I went ahead & booked at the higher rates..., the host acceped the reservation today
Now I have to try to get a refund?
the host seems nice and honest she does not have experience with the site
did anyone experience something similar
