Basement help
« on: June 14, 2013, 12:30:59 PM »
I posted a while back that I live at home with my parents by choice (can afford to take a mortgage or rent but want to save up more while I can). I did move into the furnished basement because it is a lot quieter and more private, but it can get cold. I am going to be sealing the egress window, but I'm wondering if anyone else here has any recommendations for making the room warmer, esp once fall comes along. I have no problem sleeping with three blankets, but would like something that would make the room more comfortable.

Perhaps some extra insulation might help. How are the walls insulated?

A big, thick rug might be comfortable as well.
