I have a job offer and I was really excited about it. But now I'm getting nervous! Turns out their 401(k) is administered by Edelman Financial Services. I can't find any information on their 401(k) fees or fund selection on the website, however if I were to go to them directly to invest it looks like their fees are very high. I am very discouraged. They appear to offer company 401(k) participants a lot of services I would have no interest in, and I suspect those services come with a cost.
Does anyone have any experience with this company's 401(k) and if so, can you give me an idea of what the fees look like?
And taking a specific question and making it more general-- let's say that my suspicions are confirmed and this company charges high fees, how strongly would you consider that when evaluating whether to accept the job offer?
