Auto Tires

Any leads on where to get a good deal on car tires? Small business/big chain/used? (In the los angeles area if that helps)

Also, for 95% city driving and occasional trips to the mtn, do the types of tires really matter?

Used or new? Used, CL or a local tire dealer. New, Tire Rack, Discount Tire Direct, or a tire chain affiliated with either.

For city driving I'd say the tire doesn't matter that much. If it's stop and go, low miles (that is, your tires will age out before they wear out), I'd just go with the cheapest black round tire and be done with it.

Whatever's the least expensive source of the tires that will fit your car with the lowest coefficient of rolling resistance.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
