Auto Insurance
« on: April 07, 2022, 11:40:45 AM »
About to renew, wondering if I should go through the hassle of comparison shopping.

2006 Toyota Sienna
1998 Ford E-350

$1028 for the year with current company (AAA)

State is NV, min coverage except for some reason I have comp/collision on the E-350 for the whopping total of $87/year.

Forgot to add that the drivers are just me and my wife (early 40s).

There's no reliable way to crowdsource feedback on whether your premium is good or not, in most cases.

Get a ton of quotes. It only costs you your time. Then go with the one you like best.

We used a face-to-face insurance broker. She dug up some highly rated company we'd never heard of. Saved us a bunch of money then and still does now.
Since we don't use our cars a ton, she also juggled who is assigned to which vehicle, saving us even more. I expect in a WFH environment, a lot of people could benefit from a strategy like that, but who's going to suggest it?

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
