My husband just got an offer for a job in Aruba. I know nothing about Aruba except that it is controlled by the netherlands and therefore people speak Dutch. I also know that its biggest industry is tourists from the US mostly. I'd end up giving birth there, how do you go about getting proof about american citizenship for a child born outside the US? What other things should we be looking at?

You'll also have to figure out the tax implications. US citizens have to file with the IRS no matter where they live, but the IRS has reciprocal arrangements with many countries so that you won't be paying twice - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/tax-treaties

How long are you going to stay there?
Aruba and Grand Cayman are the two fairly nice and most Americanized of the islands. (USVI and BVI being the others). Flights are plentiful and there are some people around. I don't know about cost of living
