Title: App Development: Can you recommend someone?

I have been tasked with creating an app for my work, should be relatively simple (it would be a calculator for construction, even though similar ones exist). I need to get a quote together to see if it will get signed off on. 50/50 chance they would pull the trigger and say yes. Does anyone have a company they can recommend that designs mobile apps that I could request a quote from?

I just want to point out, "relatively simple" means little until you describe your use cases. If/when you get quotes back realize that what might be "relatively simple" could turn out to be a ton of work to implement.

I encourage you to read this thread (http://stackoverflow.com/q/209170/1048539)  to get a feel for what numbers you should expect, too.
