Title: Anyone retire 2007-2008?

How did you weather the recession?  Did you change anything?  Did you go back to work?  Would you do it again? What would you have done differently?

Lots of people on the E-R.org forums. Many stories there to read. (And many older stories from the 2000 crash as well.)
