I've been assessing our grocery spending and searching for the best credit card to maximize our cash back. The Blue Cash Preferred Card was the winner.
I was about to apply, and noticed the $75 referral program they offer. Anyone out there have the card and want to refer me? I'd be especially happy if I found someone that was willing to split that referral bonus. I'll be subscribed to the post, so if you're willing to refer, just post here. Thanks!

I have one and am willing. PM me the relevant info.

Arranged with velocistar237 - thanks!

Oh! I just missed this! I was going to say that after much research the Blue Cash is a better card based on the percentages rewarded for various categories. However, I see the card I have does not appear to be offered anymore. Sad. The Preferred is the next best thing. Congrats on a great choice!

I have it; and recommend it so far..though not everyone takes Amex.
If anyone else is looking for a "sponsor" I'll split the $75 referral bonus witchya..PM me.

I am looking to sign up for this card too
who ever PM's me with the best proposal for sharing the referral money gets the deal.

I have the blue cash card but AMEX keeps sending me offers to update to the blue cash preferred card. I haven't done my research, but it seems to me that blue cash preferred is the better card? Could you tell me what are the difference in rewards between these 2 cards?

The non-preferred has no annual fee and is 3%/2%/1% on groceries/gas/other. The preferred card has a $75 annual fee and is 6%/3%/1%. If you don't buy much gas, the break-even point on groceries between the two cards is $210/month.

If anybody wants to split the 75 with me let me know and I will list you as my referall. Just email me please.

I do have this card too! What are they asking for establishing the referral? Is it just the card number?

The Preferred card is instituting a $6,000 annual cap on the 6% grocery purchases. The cap starts after your anniversary date in 2013. While this is disappointing, I'm sure there was a ton of gift card abuse going on, some of it caused by me. Even with the cap, I haven't found a card that can beat 4.75% back on groceries (after subtracting the annual fee from the cash back). $6,000 is plenty to feed my family and still buy a few gift cards.

Hi all,
Can someone tell me when the cash rewards are actually becoming available? I thought I would see the money back each month at the statement date (today for me), but it is not there yet...
Thanks

You've experienced one of the minor annoyances with American Express' cash back terms. Your cash back will be available at the end of the next billing period plus a few days.

Came across this blog and post doing my research for the Blue Cash Preferred Card, now that I'm ready to apply, thought I'd ask it anybody wants to refer me and split the bonus ... Let me know via PM. Thanks.
