I see lots of DVDs and VHS tapes (played on the old VCRs) for sale on Craigslist.
I posted a bunch of VHS tapes on CL a few months ago, for 25 cents each, and got ZERO response.
I have a ton of both DVDs and VHS.
Just wondering if anyone is actually buying these things, or there's just a bunch of ads out there that no one responds to, lol.

No luck selling. Some DVDs I've been able to give away. Most DVDs and all VHS are now going into the trash at our house. I hate throwing them out, but there doesn't seem to be any value left in them to get out.

I’ve been selling some DVDs on eBay (since I’m selling other old junk there). I’ve been slowly listing them to see if they happen to sell. I’ve sold 6 of the 12 I’ve listed so far, making $2-3 profit on each.
Eventually I’ll group them together if they don’t sell individually.
Then give away what doesn’t sell.

These are not for CL unless you're selling all in one transaction.
DVD: Many will be worth a few bucks, but it's quite a bit of work to list and sell individually for so little. For an easy solution, apps like Decluttr will scan the bar code and give you a price (probably less than half of what you'd get selling individually on eBay), then you just ship them all off and get paid.
VHS: You're at least a decade too late to get any money out of them. You might find a thrift store that will take them.

I volunteer at a thrift store. Unless it’s Disney, I’d just trash them.

VHS are worthless, don't even bother donating. DVD's it depends what it is. You may be able to sell some on Decluttr or FYE or some other media reseller. I had some luck getting rid of a bunch of TV show sets on DVD a while back, though I didn't make much. If not that, I wouldn't expect a lot of interest on CL. Maybe a local Buy Nothing, or donate to a thrift store.

Try donating to your library. Our library has a large DVD collection and they also still have shelves full of VHS tapes.

I've got DVDs and even more HD-DVDs that I should have sold a years ago.
Looked it up - the last two DVDs I bought were in 2014, one was used.
