I got a couple pairs of snowshoes for free. One is fine but one pair (a set of Atlas 1025) both have broken foot stirrups. It's strange because the shoes appear to be almost like-new otherwise, but the rubber part of the stirrups are torn clean through in multiple places on each shoe - almost like they were cut. Anyway, the straps are connected to them by some kind of rivets, so I don't think there is any easy way to replace them myself, even if I can find the parts.
I did a quick search and you can send them in for repairs, but I have no idea how much it would cost. anybody have an idea? The shoes look like they are around $100 to $150 new, but after shipping both ways and paying for the parts and service I just don't think there would be any meat left on the bone profit-wise, after selling them used (even in great shape).
Anybody have any experience with this?
