I currently use YNAB for my budgeting and that is great. But I am thinking of getting Quicken Premier 2014 so I can see my investments at a glance and additionally save years worth of data and track where I'm going with it. Is Quicken Mustaschian? I don't want to use any web services giving my account information. Would love some feedback from the pros.

Not a pro by any means, but I've used Quicken since '92, and I love having records that go back that far. Not just investments, but everything.
I'm currently using 2012 Deluxe, which tracks investments (including options). They "sundown" investment price downloads after three years. I sure hope they won't force me into Premier for the next upgrade!

an alternative: gnucash
cost: free
It isn't as "pretty" as quicken but it is actually more in tune with generally accepted accounting principles. If you are big on connecting to your accounts and downloading information, it is more geared for European banks. (I'm not big on saving passwords, so I don't do this.)

I chose quicken for the reasons of data and account security. I bought at Costco - mustachian price.

Same here. I've been using quicken over 20 years and love having that much history. I hate the forces upgraded though, I really loved quicken 2000.
I don't use the download account activity function as I prefer to hand key and categorize transactions myself.
I love my historical charts of expenses and investment growth. It's a very powerful motivational tool.
