Any FIREs decide to go back to school?

Anyone early retired who decided to go back to school? And why? Just for fun.. to follow a dream.. for a potential new career, etc.???

I go, for three reasons:

1. Grants!

2. Learning specific things (spreadsheet formulas, etc)

3. To add a touch of structure/focus/etc to my life.

I only do one course at a time.

Yeah, I'd love to do a PhD or further study for fun, but with the cost of education now sky-high, it's not appearing too realistic at the moment.

The first couple of years of FIRE, I did Fashion Design. But the course changed, and I had done all the parts I was interested in, so I stopped.

Yes - plan is to get an A.A. in interior design. Because I already have a B.A. and more, I can do this in only one year at a community college for very little outlay. I'm in my 40's and looking for a job I really enjoy - as opposed to my former career, that while it got me to FIRE - it was highly stressful and damaging to me in the last years. The salary won't really matter at this point so I have lots of flexibility.
