Title: Any Canadians using TD Eseries?

Finally got all my accounts set up to start purchasing TD E series

I have browsed through the Canadian Couch Potatoes model portfolios and plan to start purchasing based off one his model portfolios.

On the couch potato website he said there are fees associated to any accounts with under 25,000 holding in them, does anyone know if this is true and what the charge is?
I was told at the bank there were not charges, however would not be the first time they gave me incorrect information.

Also Are there any fees for purchasing the E series funds?  I was once again told purchasing transactions were free, and moving from one E Series to another was free?

I have eSeries for an RRSP and an RESP. Bank continues to say no fees.

No fees for buying selling or transfers. My accounts are high enough so no annual fee. I think it was $20 or $25. Can't recall if I ever paid that or not.

If you have less than $25k in your RRSP, you will be charged a yearly, $100 (plus HST) fee for the RRSP. This is regardless of the funds/ETFs you owe (i.e. - there is no relationship to the e-series funds).

I have limited RRSP contribution room currently (new to Canada), but reasonably high investment account balances at TD Direct Investing, and I've been successful in having the $100 fee waived for my husband and myself for the last two years. Each time they indicated this was a "courtesy" (but wasn't difficult at all).

I have the e-series funds, but over $25,000 so can't say for sure. What I do know is when you talk to them on the phone, alot of these fees can be waived, maybe you can talk them into waiving this for you... I did that when transferring funds over from another company, they were willing to waive the transfer fees.

If you are using the WebBroker account (I *think* this is "TD direct investing"), there are fees for low balances.  If you are buying e-series through easyweb, there are no fees.  I am not sure if the easyweb part goes under another name.
