Microwave
« on: September 10, 2019, 05:12:34 AM »
I'm 57 year old and not into kitchen appliances. I am thinking to gift a budget microwave to my wife, but i'm confused among 3 options. I'll appreciate if you professionals can guide me. My options are -

1. GE 2.0
2. LG NeoChef
3. LG WMC50522HZ

Is the microwave for your household use? If yes, why is it a gift for your wife? Will no one else benefit from it? I am not much into gifts, we don't exchange birthday or Christmas gifts, but if my husband said, "Look, I got you a microwave!" I would not be pleased.

Whoa everyone. Everyone is different about gifts- I MUCH prefer a practical item that someone put thought into which is exactly what OP is doing.. I got a Roomba for Xmas last year and was over the moon.

I asked for a roomba for my birthday last year.  My husband looked at me and said, “this feels like a trap.”  It wasn’t, I love the thing.

Since it sounds like your wife is going to be using it the most, I would suggest gifting her a coupon for the microwave of her choice. You could include the info on each of those choices and then go with her to check them out in person. There might be some feature about one of them that really bugs her or some other feature that she absolutely wants. I might be overly unsentimental but I’d prefer getting to pick it out myself over the surprise, and anyhow the coupon would be the surprise.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
