Boys / Teens:
- leather item, like gloves, wallet or belt. (TJ MAX is your friend, here)
- Leather or nice cell phone cover for their specific phone
- Earphones/ earbuds
- gift certificate to gaming site such as Steam
- things that help them transition or get skills to transition (in a few years) to life on their own. I picked up a cute cast iron pan with brownie mix "present" betty crocker type... The idea is to learn to make your own single serve brownie in a toaster oven. Like this.. but my version on sale was only $8.00...

- cookbook?
- Grooming kit / bag for shaving stuff.
- For the 11 year old. Lava Lamp. there are less expensive ones out there. This qualifies as stuff you need to move, however.
- Book for the book lovers, in the genre that they usually choose.
Socks. For some reason both my teens and now my husband are asking for comfy winter socks... (not the athletic wear kind, but more like a winter boot sock with some colour banding). This is a know your recipient sort of thing, some teen boys would hate it.
Throw blanket (for the bed) -- my son (17) tosses and turns at night and it is getting colder out, so having a cuddle soft blanket to have while on the computer or watching you tube is something he really likes. Something that he does not share with his sibling. Again, check the sales and discount stores, very cuddly things in grey and navy are out there as loss leaders.
