Additional Income
« on: November 14, 2013, 09:53:27 AM »
I'm not sure if there is already a topic like this already, but I am looking for ideas for additional income. At the moment my wife and I are trying to save to finish her Education.

We have come up with a few ideas for additional income that look like they are going to work, for example;

Working Ideas
- AirBNB
- Selling Christmas Baking

Other ideas I have had that haven't worked yet, for one reason or another;

Not Working Ideas
- Rent Outdoor Storage
- Renting Car
- Renting Parking Spaces (Not a large enough city)

What other opportunities are there? Any ideas?

Other Idea's from the linked thread below that I am going to look into

- Referee
- Sell Gift Wrapping Services at Christmas
- Buy things cheap then Sell online (books especially)

What do you and your wife do for a living?  Do you have any hobbies?

I work an office job with Geographical Information Systems (GIS). My wife is stay at home with our new 3 month. The baking is one of her hobbies, thats why we are going to sell Christmas Baking.

There were a bunch of ideas here:

The baking would be a good idea then!  I find the best side gigs are in areas you enjoy, or know a lot about.

You should try to find some side gigs that pertain to whatever you know or like most about from your GIS job, or any hobbies you may have.

Air BnB could be an easy / fun one.  It wouldn't hurt to try. You could then pawn off your Wife's baked goods on anyone who stays!
