Switching Airvoice plans

Has anyone noticed any red flags with the flexibility to switch Airvoice plans depending on the month?

For example, in the summer, I conduct a lot of field work and my employer will reimburse $20/month for cell phone use. So most of the year I'll use the $10 Airvoice plan but then for a few months each year I'll want to bump up to the $30 unlimited plan and then drop back down in the fall.

I would think this should be a seamless switch but I currently have AT&T and they try to charge fees every time I want to switch. I usually end up going down to the closest AT&T and just ask them to switch. If they won't do it, I'll try another time and another employee will it do it in about 10 seconds. It's a pain but I've been able to avoid the fees.

Check out their Terms of Service:

Ability to change services
You will have the ability to change from one rate plan to another upon request. Please contact our US based customer service at 1-888-944-2355. A new refill card will be needed when switching to a different rate plan. Airvoice will not transfer your remaining balance or airtime days. You may lose your voicemail box which includes your greeting and any saved messages when changing your rate plan.

No fees... just a new bill cycle date, lost balance, and re-setup your voicemail.
