Making a Honey Cured Ham less sweet?

I scored a major deal on a honey cured bone-in ham for 82 cents a pound. I don't usually like sweet ham, but at that price I figured I would give it a try. We have been eating a lot of sandwiches and omelettes. Would anyone suggest doing anything to make it taste less sweet? Brine, or a dry rub?

Try putting some in a stir-fry or some other dish incorporating soy sauce. Just cube it up.

It would also be good in my favorite lazy dish, which is a can of crushed pineapple, 2 cups couscous (cooked), cubed ham, and soy sauce. This can all be prepared on the stovetop or in a microwave for true laziness.

It wouldn't be bad in fried potatoes, for that matter, especially if you add hot sauce. But I'm a Southerner; you have to like fried potatoes first.
