A different eBike thread...

A little bit of history - I rarely would commute on my bike as it was 25 mile round-trip and I wear a suit to work and to be honest it was just too much work/time. Lame I know. But I would run all of my errands on my bike and with the exception of Costco and Home Depot I could get just about what I needed on my bike.
Fast forward - I now primarily work from home (whoohoo) and I moved to LCOL location but I am on the top of a massive hill that is about 4 miles long. As you can imagine - going down is a blast but coming up with any kind of load is rough. I am in decent shape with a lot of room for improvement but I am finding myself getting in the car these days instead of biking as this massive hill has removed much the enjoyment I once received from running around town on my bike.
I believe that I am an excellent candidate for an eBike to help me take on this hill. Maybe it is just an excuse to buy an eBike. I am not sure but I am biking a lot less than I have in the past and I really miss it.
I guess my question is - is this a valid reason to buy an eBike? This isn't a money issue for me - it wouldn't have any real impact on my plans but it is a pretty big purchase.
I have been doing a ton of research online and it is a little overwhelming. Soooo many options now it is hard to figure out the right bike but I am sure I could work my way through it. Happy to hear about any recommendations. I am 6'3" 225lbs - so I need a big boy bike.
I appreciate your thoughts.....

90% of my reasoning for eventually getting an ebike is hills.
I hate them.
The end.

Go for it. The hills are meant to be conquered, mechanically assisted or not. I once saw this elderly lady on an ekectric trike, and boy did she enjoy going up a hill...that was giving her joy and mobility. Nothing wrong with wanting that.

I converted my bike to electric for a similar reason and I ride it every day. I haul my two kids up the hill in the trailer with a grin on my face! It is absolutely a valid reason.
