Title: 403b max
Post by: dandypandys on November 18, 2018, 07:48:36 AM
oops..  just thought to check my 403b to see how close it was to the max of 18.5k. My employee contributions ytd are $15406 for 403b $1937 for the 403b roth
making me too close with  $17343! with still 1 paycheck to go- (maybe 2.. not sure)
My Q is - is the 403b roth also included in the 18.5k?
Probably right?
I'm worried that they won't give me the match if I don't contribute the minimum

yikes.. I just looked it up- we get 2 more paychecks this year!

update: ok panic over-- I figured out that I can lower my contribution from 33% to 7% for this next month and not go over, and still get the match for the next 2 months. yay
BUT, what am I gonna do with the extra cash, my ira's are almost filled! #mustachianproblems

yes, the $18,500 403b limit is across all accounts.

What to do? Well, next year 403b limit becomes $19k and the IRA limit goes up to $6k.
