Title: 2012 Honda Fit has developed a twangy sound
Post by: frugalman on June 10, 2015, 11:12:31 AM
At low speeds, and only sometimes, when I accelerate or brake, I hear a twang from the front end area, sometimes 2 or 3, it's like a cable being stretched. At normal speeds, cruising, accelerating, braking, I never hear it. By low speeds, I mean mostly 0 to 10 mph, although once I heard it at about 20 mph.

I'm not much for DIY car repair, I'd just like to hear if someone might know what this is. Car has 76,000 miles on it, runs great, I've never changed the brakes (had them looked at at 70,000 miles, they said only half worn).

May want to post this query on the fitfreak.net forums.  In the past, I found it to be a sound source for Fit info.
