My 2010 Mazda3 Sport hatchback is at almost 300,000 km and I am thinking it may be time to replace it.  I am looking at compact SUVs because they are higher, but basically have the same mileage and ride as the cars whose bases they use.  My off-roading would be limited to the occasional dirt road, and parking in fields at country events.

The Mazda CX-30 is on the same wheel base as the Mazda3, so the size is right.  (The Mazxa CX-3 is too small and the Mazda CX-5 is too large).  The Kia Seltos is comparable.  Does anyone have any experience/feedback with either, or another small SUV that is similar in size?  I am thinking used, say 2018-2021, whatever I find.  I'm not in a rush.

I would also be fine with a hybrid in the same size range, just not a plug-in because of my living situation.

We have purchased the cx 30 in 9/20 and like it a lot.
No problems so far.

How about a Honda HR-V?  I looked at them online after my Matrix was written off.  It’s very similar to a Matrix, which I love to pieces, but I actually bought back my car.  When it does finally bite the dust (sob), I will be taking another look at the Honda.

Haven't looked at Honda yet.  I will now.
