Heard about these today from a coworker and I assumed it was a joke! I am in a state of disbelief.

And, over in their babies and toddlers' section, there's a table of pre-shat diapers.
Just kidding.
I think.

PRPS who make these jeans have all sorts of ridiculous pre ripped, over priced distressed jeans, jackets and dresses

Here’s the official description, from their website.
“These heavily distressed medium-blue denim jeans embody rugged, Americana workwear that's seen some hard-working action with a crackled, caked-on muddy coating that shows you're not afraid to get down and dirty.”
Um, yes you are or you'd ACTUALLY BE DOING IT. What it shows is that you're not afraid to pay what amounts to a weeks take-home for someone who actually DOES get "down and dirty" to make it look like you do, too. And that you're an idiot for doing so.

Can you imagine being part of the crew making these things? I imagine pro-tip billboards on the walls at that mill, with helpful advice like "How to Avoid Constantly Swearing."

Perfect. This will finally complement my artificial body odor cologne.

Does this mean I can resell my worn out, perma-grass-stained gardening jeans for profit?

Congrats to them for achieving the social media buzz they wanted... I think I saw this posted 4 different times today.

Yeah, my first thought was "side hustle for Mustachians!" Get your oldest pair of jeans filthy and sell them on eBay as $80 knock-offs.

I knew a guy in high school who did that. He bought some jeans and just left a few pairs sitting in the bed of his truck for a month or so, and threw dirt and paint and stuff on them once in awhile. Sold them for a decent profit I think.

Just when you think things can't get any dumber, someone proves you wrong.

I have heard of people doing this with shoes too. Beat them to pieces and then sell them. If they started out life as the right brand, then you apparently have something.

I should do that with hiking shoes...so people can look like they actually use them. :P

Sounds good to me. I can hire my dogs to help accelerate the muddiness.
