Yeah, we all kind of saw this coming, didn't we?

It's such a bad idea that I wouldn't even want to be on the lending side of that transaction.

So the 'check your rate' button redirects to Lending Club or a company called Trusted Installment Loans depending on your credit score . . . looks like you really could be on the lending side of that equation!

Whoever made this site is brilliant. It just redirects to lendingclub with an affiliate ID, so they get paid $ each time someone signs up & even more $$$ when they get funded for a loan.

Yeah one of my roommates makes sites like that... he calls them "shopping portals".

I wonder what the divorce rate is amongst couples who finance their dream weddings.

According to the site:
Quote
Apply for a low APR wedding loan with fixed interest rates of just 6.73% to 35.36% and select either a 3 or 5 year repayment period.

yikes! Those rates go well above most states' usury limits, so even on the lending side this seems awfully risky...

How? What? 35.36%%??? That's the most insane thing I have ever heard.

Lovely.  People can't afford to purchase a ring themselves, but they can somehow afford up to $1197.82 per month on a $35,000 loan at 35.36% over five years.

As a young couple who are paying for our own wedding in cash, this site makes my stomach churn a bit.  I feel like if you're not a very responsible couple already, this site is a nice way to start f***ing your finances over before you've even purchased a house.  This site just reassures people that financing a wedding is normal, logical, and widely accepted.

I got all excited thinking it was some new cheap company who you could borrow all kinds of wedding props from when I saw the title of the thread. Never mind :(
