Oof-da. At the end, I don't feel she's learned anything. It's those naughty, naughty, credit cards that told her she deserves more credit. She has no internal locus of control.

I give her a lot of credit for having made every possible mistake, and never having made one good decision.  That's hard to do.

I’m not sure if the way the NYT presented this piece really helps anyone avoid the same mistakes.  They portray the mistake as opening a credit line, which clearly was not the problem at all.

That video was from 2008. I wonder how she is doing in 2019.

Spending not on necessities but as a vain attempt at soothing emotional wounds is a path to ruin.

Yeah I was hoping there was a follow up video to tell us.

So for a challenge I found her (I think) via the web.

Living in an older apartment building in PA about 20 miles from the little house she was living in (I think) when they made the video.

Hard to say whether she is still struggling or making MMM choices and keeping it cheap.

I don't have any social media accounts so I can't search for her that way to say what she is doing these days.

Not sure what is sadder, the video or the Prada and "these leggings will change your life" ads that preceded it. A bit ironic.

Notice all the shelves, counter space and wall space is covered with stupid nick knacks?
The whole attitude is sad.
Sure do wonder where she is at now,and how she is doing.

Ouch, that was hard to watch.  First thing I noticed was all the clutter/useless crap and her smoking habit.  So much money wasted right there.

I love credit cards; I've never paid a dime of interest and have gotten probably several thousand in cash back over the years.

I actually feel sad for her, she does not have the financial knowledge to tackle this.
