"get the one gift that mom always wanted"

My mind immediately went to:

Everybody in the family pick up all their wrappers/trash/dirty dishes/papers/dirty clothes, etc., etc, etc. all the time, without needing needing to be asked?

Because screw jewelry, that is what I REALLY want.  (mom to teen boys here).

I literally screamed ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!?!? when I saw that.  Those smug "HE went to Jared" commercials were horrible, but I never thought something could be worse until this one.

The best thing you can do for your mom, give her a promotion to grandma.  Although specific jewelry ads are hard to attach to the idea.

If there was a travel agency that specialized in Ovulation Vacations, they could make a killing.  Buying last minute air tickets is more expensive than three weeks out, and you may not know when your basal temperature is going to peak with that much advance.  The travel agency could package up four day weekend destinations around the country and maybe even get you on a subscription model.  Would $1,500 a month be reasonable for that?

My wife read me something one of her friends wrote about Mother's Day. It amounted to "Come home more, and talk to me. Spend time with me. Tell me your good news and bad" but far, far more eloquent.

That's what I want to look back on. Not Jared's wares.

As a former teenage boy who still slips into these exact habits anytime I'm at my mum's place, I would like to apologise on their behalf. They really DO love you still!
