I got a $6 one at the grocery when I started drinking wine.  I was so mad when I saw one for 50cents at the op shop a week later.

I think you're missing the point. It's "the ultimate tool for the wine professional". Plus, they have express international shipping. There's obvious value there that you're missing.

But seriously, I had to delete my history. I felt that guilty.

Shipping isn't included. Don't worry about that -- it's only money.

How could anyone buy one without at least one line of engraving, the holster, and the cool gift box? Those options bring the price of the Stealth model up to $625.

It does have a lifetime warranty.

Caution -- Don't put your Code38 in your carry-on luggage. Airport Security will toss it in the garbage and they will bum-search you if you put up a fuss.

Yup, I bought a bottle of wine for a dinner at my house a few weeks ago and realized that we didn't own a wine opener, the clerk was clueless as to where the wine openers were and eventually remembered, but as soon as the manager went away she showed me a $1 opener that she used and gave me a wink. So thankful to her, saved me some money and it works really well.

I think I prefer my tools to actually be machine-made. I don't buy a handmade fucking socket set, do I? Wow, what a selling point, "this thing has large sample variation."

But it's handmade! For the professional! He took great care to match the passion!

It has a new conical-tapered TICN Helix! AND a robust pivot system!

It's good that it will open many thousands of bottles, because I'm a serious alcoholic and need that level of performance from my corkscrew.

The holster is great for wine parties down at the corral at high noon.

It's been "designed to go the distance in harsh hospitality environments." Like serving Martha Stewart in the seventh circle of hell.

i'm actually disappointed in the OP here.  i've received plenty of free cork screws over the years as promotional handouts, yet you wasted $15...

A $ 525 corkscrew??? If you buy this, it's not just the cork that's getting screwed.

As a former bartender, I understand that some folks truly need a high-quality, super-durable corkscrew, especially in harsh hospitality environments.   That's why I own a hinged pulltaps, which cost an outrageous $10, and has lasted a decade.

Hey don't be like that! I have a thing for high quality tools that last a lifetime.. and if they cost $15, then I can totally justify!

Sometimes the free ones just don't cut it.. try a Pulltap, and you will be convinced... :)

Water costs as much as I spend on my average meal out with friends...

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
