I must admit, I'm tempted to try this at least once, since car services/cabs cost +$50 to/from JFK. Still, it seems super dumb. On top of that, the margins for this business are going to be pretty low unless they can find some way to cut costs... fuel and hangar space aren't cheap, let alone the maintenance for running a 'copter back and forth between two points constantly. You would need to fill up the helicopter completely for each trip to approach cost effectiveness, I would think.

For the first ride, that sounds fun and reasonable as an "experience". After that it sounds awful.

I think this is a great idea and that everyone should use it. Just think how much faster and cooler it will be!
(disclaimer: I work for a company that designs and builds helicopters, though not the model that their example picture uses... ;P)

I would totally do that once. I've always wanted to go in a helicopter. I'd bring my camera and a fast wide prime.
