I only put a little smear of toothpaste on the bristles, as I hate the foamed up sensation of a mouthful of bubbles. It works fine. What is more important is the brushing action and brushing for two minutes each time.

A standard tube usually lasts me a year.

I love stockpiling non-perishables (of foods with long shelf-lives) from BJ's Wholesale.  I save a ton of money doing it all the time.  I also eat the same breakfast and lunch everyday, though, to minimize cost and calorie count while maximizing nutrition, so maybe I'm a little weird.  I recently bought 4 lbs of yeast for $11.98, so now I have yeast for baking bread and pizzas for many months.  It saves me a ton of money.

Same. I typically have the same thing for breakfast and lunch for a few months before maybe switching it up, and on Sundays I meal prep one recipe that will be my dinners for the entire week. I am a creature of habit and I know what and how much of it I need to eat to reach my sports-related goals, so I am a bit of a weirdo to begin with. The money saving aspect is just a bonus.

I only stockpile non-perishables that I eat literally everyday, so I go through them consistently. I'm a 22 year old single lady but I go through at least 5lbs of chicken a week! If boneless skinless chicken breasts are 1.99/lb, then you'll find me in the checkout with an alarming amount of chicken...

Who are we to judge others?

That is the whole point of THIS section of the MMM board.

And just to go all academic on it, judgement is actually an important in-group bonding behavior. Even if you don't like the Wall of Shame, it strengthens the rest of the community.

Frugal toothpaste.  Try using arm n hammer baking soda - no strange whitening chemicals -slightly abrasive and gives the teeth a super clean feeling when you are done. Plus its not sweet like toothpaste - sweet cleaning agents seems suspicious to me.
Cost a dollar for half a year- maybe longer

Doesn't too much baking soda eat away at your tooth enamel?  I'm genuinely interested as I would consider using more of it if that wasn't the case.

it doesnt eat away. but it could be a little too corrosive for every day use. you could find many a recipe with other things to make it less harsh.

No worse than most commercial toothpastes.

I told my moms side of the family that I'm in a "frugal group" because I'm not ready to tell them about early retirement. My aunt in law was telling me that her daughter is frugal ( my cousin, she likes to compare us) is frugal because she has worn the same winter coat for five years. My cousin just bought a 700k 1 bedroom in nyc (manhattan is expensive but you can easily find a 1 bed co-op for 500k). My cousin didn't even have a job at the time. She was relying on her fiance's income. So no, she is not frugal. The kicker is that when my cousin asked her mother if spending that much without a job was a good idea, she said don't worry, you'll grow into it. Wtf?

And she's likely proud of her daughter for her purchase.
