Parents receive anonymous letter shaming them for 'tiny' home

Hopefully they're using some of the savings from the apartment for therapy for their kids *eyeroll*

I would've killed to live on the beach when I was a kid!

Right? How terrible they raise their kids in a comfortable, seaside apartment. Hopefully child services shows up and gets those poor kids to a distant farm somewhere in the middle of wintery Canada, where they have a yard and a swingset to play on.

I really like one joke commenter who said they just wanted the apartment for themselves and their two kids - an apartment by the beach sounds wonderful for kids!

But who would know that it's a one-bed apartment?  I suspect a grumpy neighbour.

How can I get on the waiting list for this beachside apartment for when these horrible (sorry, make that deplorable) parents come to their senses and move to a house they can't afford in the suburbs?

I think I read an article elsewhere that mentioned it's a 2BR condo.

My suspicion is that it's a neighbor who doesn't like noisy kids.

Just imagine all those city kids without a yard of their own. Oh dear!

What of the country kids who lack access to some of the big name big box retailers and a mall? Oh dear! Those kids are being denied a proper consumer upbringing! ;)

Didn't it used to be this was the way you were supposed to raise your kids? Instead of letting TV and tablets educate them, just send them outside to play? Sounds like these parents are doing it right, plus honestly who needs a ton of space. Yeah there were kids I knew that complained about having to share a room, but I think that creates a greater bond between siblings and plus it better shapes them to deal with realities once they reach adulthood.

SS is out now. Didn't you hear? Its "black" SS now I think... Well, that's what I saw at the big box retailer this past weekend anyhow.

Are you talking smack about my frigid, featureless paradise? I'll have you know that it's not all bad: the risk of tsunami is extremely low.

oh god. Do I have to buy a swingset now? It can only be used a few months of the year...

Those were my thoughts too.  Although here we do get earthquakes (little ones).

But when the kids can't play on the swings, they can build snow forts, and skate on the backyard rink (and the front yard driveway when there has been freezing rain).  I'll trade them my 3 BR house for their ocean-side apartment.

For a second I thought this had devolved to a political thread like all my Facebook posts lately... >.<
