Saw a sign at the clark and lake stop:
"Shop until your credit cards say uncle!"
And then in small print:
"What you do during your lunch hour is your own business."
Think it was for Merch-Mart or some other large retail hub.
I tried to photograph it with my iPhone but the green line obscured it before I could.
Made me hurl a little.

Meh, that's everywhere :) Down here in Peoria it's more the Rent to Own advertisements and payday loan shops that make me puke a little in my mouth.

I actually had an old boss tell me that I was hurting the economy by not using credit cards. When I told him I had no debt he seemed to think I had a civic obligation to shop and use credit cards. I don't even think he was in a bad financial position. He kept trying to convince me I was bad for the economy and I need to change my habits! What shocked me was how shocked he was. I mean, he was about 63 and seemed to have never met anyone with no credit cards or consumer debt. Despite being raised all over the world, lived in Silicon valley for years, and then again traveling the world for work, he seems to live a sheltered life!
