Well, I guess you can have more than one burger, but still...ridiculous. You can wash it down with some pricey Amstel Light as well. For $250 I'd want something other than Amstel, just saying...

Someone invited me to this event and I politely declined. :-) I was tempted to offer to cook them a burger at my place if they paid me $250, but I was too nice to do that.

But seriously it's an event with 25 burger chiefs. So if you have one from each chef, that makes it $10 a burger.

I guess in a past year, a neighboring hotel decided to take a shot at this event by offering an $18 burger. Still a little ridiculous, but think of the money you're saving! ;-)

I'm pretty sure this would be $250 today with beef prices the way they are....

This is an event so think of it as the price of an event ticket, not a burger. I've never paid that much to go to the theater or an opera but seats that cost that much or more are out there.
