It's about the same price as the ubiquitous higher-end power wheels models.

i think its a great play by Tesla.  now they are getting their brand out there in front of youth.  and guess what that car functions about the same as the real one.  ELECTRIC VEHICLE REVOLUTION!!!

I may eventually look back and say I made that trade. No kids, may well get a Tesla if I feel like working after FI. >.<

It's a comic. I find it best to just relax and not stress out too much about physics in entertainment media... kind of like in the introductory song to MST3K. If I start worrying about where James Bond keeps his dinner jacket or the Highlander keeps his sword, I'll eventually start to lose sleep, and I'm too cheap to buy eye cream.
