Talk about money burning a hole in your pocket....
« on: February 05, 2015, 06:58:04 PM »
I buy and sell a lot of stuff locally, and so I am subscribed to a "swip swap" facebook group that functions sort of like craigslist. People post what they are selling or looking to buy, etc. There are a lot of shennanigans, people asking for handouts, etc, but there is one phenomenon that continues to perplex me: at least once a week somebody posts that they have x amount of dollars, and ask what people are selling, with nothing specific in mind. They literally just post: " got $300 cash what you got"

It's like as soon as they get a couple hundred bucks together they have to spend it on something, even if there isn't anything in particular that they are looking for. They just HAVE to spend it Blows my mind.

Well, at least they're buying used stuff rather than the latest designer clothes/Apple very slightly upgraded new phone model/whatever.
They may be idiots with their money, but at least it's better for the planet (and for you, if you happen to have anything you want to get rid of)
