Instant Upgrades

If it's not amazing enough that nearly half of iPhone users intend to upgrade "instantly", it's that they're planning on doing so before even seeing the new phone:

Are you suggesting that newer is not always better?

The dialogue writing is not strong with this one.

I have to admit that this puzzles me on a lot of levels, especially this line: "...it's a positive to see that people aren't satisfied with the iPhone 5...".  Now if they aren't at least somewhat satisfied with the current product, why would they buy the next generation of the unsatisfactory product, instead of switching to a different one?  Is it just that they're Apple fanboys (& girls) looking for status points?

Yeah, I'm totally on board with upgrades.  In fact, just upgraded my iphone 3s 8gb, which went for an inadvertent swim in a puddle, to an iphone 3s 16gb (with completely functioning buttons) off ebay.  Switched out the airvoice wireless card.  The bonus?  My choice of premium bedazzled iphone 3 cases now sell for $1-4 online.

Besides, everyone knows the iphone 5 sux:
