Haha, guess you're doing things wrong. Clearly you will have to work 4 more years than expected, because their retirement quiz must be right. So sad that they can't fathom earlier retirement. But by today's standards 45 isn't too shabby. By Mustachian standards it's sub par.

That seems ridiculous to have an age restriction for that. It should only be able to tell you that your $1.2 million (or whatever your FIRE number may be) is drastically too low and that you need to work XX amount of years before you can even begin to think about retiring.

Now stop being crazy and get back to work.

You're telling me I can't retire later than 99??! I plan to work past 100 dammit!

I guess to be fair it might be because a longer retirement (50+ years) would rely on too few historical periods to give reliable data on stock market returns.

I also hate the calculators that have a fixed lower floor on "% of working income in retirement", usually 80%. So if I make $500,000 it would be impossible for me to live on $100k?

I love how it says "the <b>correct</b> are ages between 45 and 99" (emphasis mine). hahaha...
