Efficient Huge Trucks
« on: October 10, 2018, 04:40:21 PM »
https://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/mark-phelan/2018/10/10/silverado-ram-pickups-fuel-economy-prius/1584977002/

The author is correct about the ratios and impact fuel usage, but I didn't see any mention of the savings from driving a Prius instead of a pick up.

freep's an auto industry shill, even if BigAuto is doing bad stuff.

Shill's focusing on how much "saving" while ignoring actual fuel usage. Using math and numbers of cars to obfuscate.

FUD.

Their math might be technically correct, but is more of a statement on how much gasoline was getting burned by previous generations of pickups and not any kind of guidance on what kind of vehicle a consumer should buy.
