Title: HBO "Ballers"
Post by: hernandz on July 01, 2015, 07:15:09 AM
Dwayne Johnson is starring and producing a series where he plays a former football player turned money manager.  Basically 30 by 30's Broke played more for laughs and consumption envy.  There's about 30 seconds  of sensible advice, which I feel was Johnson's original intent, but the consumerist porn is overwhelming.

He has such an interesting personal story, and I admire his work ethic so much, but  maybe I should just support his other charitable efforts.

I saw the previews while watching GoT, but it seems he's marketing himself at the Consumerist Football Players.  "Sign with me and I'll get you a Second yacht" kind of thing.

Never thought that The Rock was trying to make some sort of entertaining 30 for 30 Broke thing, thought it was just meant to be "consumerist porn."  Mad Men mixed with Entourage under the setting of football.
