Don't owe much to the IRS, so let's go gambling
« on: April 12, 2017, 11:18:55 AM »
Actual conversation with BIL:

Me: Hey BIL, how's it going? My sister around?
BIL: We're getting ready to go to the casino!
Me: Really? On Sunday?
BIL: Yeah, the guy who does our taxes called, and we only owe $1000! We thought it would be more! So we're going to the casino for a few hours.
Me: (silence)

A few hours and that pesky tax bill will be taken care of! Right? Right?

At least they acknowledge that gambling blows money. Some people truly believe they have a "system" to avoid losing.

The Banks and Vegas wouldn't exist if you could win. I've kind given up preaching the word of mustacianism in northern Ohio. Bikes are for people who can't afford a f-350 turbo diesel 4x4. I watch my buddies drink and party away their futures. A good friend just pulled a DUI and wants to "borrow" money. He doesn't have it now, has never had it in the past, and is probably never gonna have it in the future.
