Interesting article on the government's suit against a chain of for-profit art schools. I think some of these places, and some of the places that focus on military students, are much more in it for the bucks than they are to provide education.

This was my experience of for-profit colleges. The 10-20% who are passionate about the subject do great, and learn what they need to succeed, A further 20% will learn enough to get an entry level job, the remaining 60-70% are just racking up debt.
The main shock is their recruitment practices, and excessive fees.
