Reminds me of the old MMM blog post about trucks talking about the life-cycle of a truck - I don’t remember the exact details but it went something like Truck starts as brand new crazy expensive truck bought by older person with a hefty monthly payment, gets traded into the dealership after 10 years for $15k, then bought by a dumb broke young dude for $25k who then jacks it up and adds stupid wheels and it can’t be used as a truck anymore, gets repossessed, repeat until truck dies.
