Before anyone says anything, let me say something: I'm glad Chris is around. I think the world is a better place because this unique fellow is out there, bouncing along. Anytime I get into a conversation about this guy, I always give this example: there were (supposedly) tribal societies that had one member who did everything wrong. He hunted incorrectly, he farmed incorrectly, he dressed incorrectly. His antics were funny, sure, and children would laugh at them... but the tribe kept him fed with food from everyone else because he provided the service of showing how NOT to live. He provided others with an example of "not like this."
When it comes to money, among other things, Christian Weston Chandler is the example for the internet of how not to do it. He is a perfect storm of bad habits and bad thinking and bad choices. It's inspiring to read his family's financial history because even the most amateur, unlearned Mustachian can come away saying, "Oh wow. I HAVE to be better than that."
If you've never heard of the guy, here's a wiki that's documented his misadventures on the Internet (warning: some articles not safe for work or your own sanity, so approach with caution):

I'm not much for the whole "lolcow" substrata of the internet because it seems like an echochamber of crazy people discussing crazy people, but CWC.... Reading about CWC as a college sophmore was what first taught me that financial maturity doesn't come with age but with thought. That being good with money, being wise in deed and word, is not a quality but a choice. And yeah, ok, a lot of the stuff he gets up to is hilarious.
